Job Description

Safran Electronics & Defense, a leading company in the field of optics and electronics, is seeking a skilled Optical Technician to join its team in Dijon, France. With over 60 years of experience, our company has established itself as a major player in the industry, with a strong presence in the global market.

As an Optical Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and integration of optical-mechanical systems on terrestrial, naval, and airborne devices. Your tasks will include:

  • Assembling and testing optical-mechanical components with high precision
  • Measuring and controlling the product on optronics benches
  • Identifying and reporting non-conformities on sub-assemblies and proposing corrective actions
  • Improving the manufacturing process and proposing solutions for optimizing product quality

You will work in a cleanroom environment and may be required to work in 2x8 shifts. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the improvement of our products and the company's overall performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Optics/Photonics or a related field
  • Knowledge of mechanics and/or electronics
  • Passion for cutting-edge technologies and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
