Key Responsibilities
In the role of Senior Multi-Physical Systems Engineer/Cable Management Specialist (M/F), you will collaborate with a dynamic hardware engineering team to address technical challenges in board-level engineering.
Your position will be based at the innovative research center, where you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge hardware solutions in board-level engineering. This includes multi-physics modeling and simulation of complex module reliability, cable management simulation technologies, and in-situ nondestructive testing methodologies.
Main Duties
- Investigate cable management simulation technologies for ICT product sub-racks, assessing cable management under mechanical and bending stress in intricate product scenarios, and progressively extending to high-speed signal, stress, and reliability criteria.
- Engage in the technical development of cable simulation tools.
- Deliver technical expertise in the cable management sector and foster the development of new technologies.
- Work collaboratively with local and international teams to tackle upcoming challenges and assist in the creation of specifications and design documentation.
You will also initiate projects with external collaborators and contribute to industry conferences.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or higher, or a PhD, with a strong foundation in mechanics, flexible system integration, and multibody interactions, including friction and adhesion. You should have expertise in multi-scale and multi-physical field simulation modeling, encompassing electrical, magnetic, thermal, and mechanical aspects, along with their effects on high-speed signal integrity.
Familiarity with cable simulation modeling tools (such as IPS) and industrial multi-physical simulation tools (such as Comsol) is essential, including a thorough understanding of the governing equations. A solid grasp of material properties and their impact on simulation processes is required.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team is crucial. You should be passionate about technology, driven by curiosity, and eager to make significant contributions in your field of expertise. Proficiency in English, along with excellent intercultural communication skills, is essential for success in international team environments.
