Backup Service Engineer Expert

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a Backup Service Engineer Expert. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our backup systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain backup platforms, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
- Participate in project teams to design and implement new backup solutions, leveraging expertise in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain backup software and hardware, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Monitor production systems and resolve technical incidents, providing 3rd-level support and collaborating with internal teams.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation for production systems, including scripts and automation tools.
- Implement Standard Work Requests (SWRs) and troubleshoot incidents in the scope of technical areas.
- Collaborate with development teams to develop scripts for automation and batches, adhering to internal AXA standards and procedures.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a backup environment, with expertise in cloud knowledge (Security, Networking, AWS, Azure), Commvault solutions, IBM Spectrum Protect V8 or later, and NetApp.
- Strong general knowledge of IT and datacenter infrastructure architectures, with proficiency in Windows, Linux, VMware, and scripting languages (Korn shell, PowerShell).
- Excellent reporting skills and ability to ensure security is always a priority, with knowledge of audit, vulnerabilities remediation, and patching.
- Upper intermediate level of written and spoken English is mandatory, with French/Dutch speaking appreciated.
