At C.H. Robinson, we're seeking a skilled Global Forwarding Expert to join our team in Lyon.
As a key member of our Global Forwarding division, you will be responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle for assigned accounts. Your primary focus will be on ensuring customer requirements are met accurately and timely. You will oversee tasks for each shipment, communicate daily with stakeholders, report on progress, and manage emails.
In this role, you will engage with colleagues on-site three days a week, fostering creativity and driving impactful results. With flexibility for remote work two days a week, this position strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy.
Key responsibilities include understanding international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology. You will input financial components for accurate customer billing, execute shipment tasks according to customer SOP requirements, and maintain accurate shipment data in Navisphere.
You will also provide pricing quotes based on customer and network needs, offer track and trace services, and generate shipment documents. Furthermore, you will ensure high data integrity, build strong customer relationships, and communicate effectively with customers, agents, CHR offices, and vendors.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business, and at least one year of Global Forwarding experience. Fluency in French and English (written and verbal) is also necessary. Knowledge and experience with customs procedures and formalities are highly valued.
Preferred qualifications include excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, as well as customer service skills and follow-up abilities. Critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills are essential for adapting to ever-changing tasks and customer needs. A high level of attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and influence on the lifecycle shipping process are also desired.
