Global Forwarding Specialist

C.H. Robinson is seeking a skilled professional to manage and operate the shipment lifecycle for assigned accounts in our Global Forwarding division in Lyon.

This key position involves ensuring customer requirements are met and answered accurately and timely. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and overseeing tasks for each shipment, including daily communication, reporting, and email management.

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Understanding international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology
  • Inputting financial components for accurate customer billing
  • Executing shipment tasks per customer SOP requirements
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining accurate shipment data in Navisphere
  • Providing pricing quotes based on customer and network needs
  • Offering track and trace services and generating shipment documents
  • Ensuring high data integrity: shipment details, INCOterms, routing, dates, documents
  • Building strong customer relationships; responding and following up on issues promptly
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with Customers/Agents, CHR offices, and Vendors
  • Fostering positive working relationships with team members and participating in new customer implementations and business meetings as needed

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business, minimum 1 year of Global Forwarding experience, and fluency in French and English (written and verbal). Preferred qualifications include excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, as well as a proven track record of dealing with customers and being client-focused.
