Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at ASML. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Problem Analysis and Approach
    • Gather all relevant information for the problem and analyze using available means.
    • Decide on an initial approach to solve the problem and assess new information to adapt the approach as needed.
  • Problem Handovers and Routing
    • Handover problems or problem aspects to others (2nd/3rd line support) and document all relevant data.
    • Ensure problem ownership is clear and ensure that all necessary information is passed down.
  • Repairs
    • Advise customer technical personnel in dealing with problems and use tools and manuals to execute repairs.
    • Replace parts, improve settings, and make necessary decisions to realize optimal results.
  • Procedures
    • Arrange with the customer for machine time to execute procedures and plan the procedure.
    • Ensure all necessary parts, tools, equipment, and information are available at the start of the procedure.
    • Execute the procedure and make necessary decisions to realize optimal results.
  • Training and Advice
    • Define and explain appropriate actions to users to correct malfunctions.
    • Train customers in the use and routine maintenance of equipment and recommend changes in user procedures when needed.
  • Process Optimization
    • Provide input for improvement proposals.
  • Knowledge Build-up and Transfer
    • Teach others on ASML products, new and installed tools, manuals, and ways of working.
    • Maintain and broaden own knowledge.
  • Coaching
    • Provide appropriate support and assistance to less experienced engineers and knowledge transfer.

Requirements
  • Field Service Engineer with solid work experience.
  • BSc degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry required.
  • Specialized knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, or electronics, and semiconductor processes, and relevant software.
  • Experience in using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Complete knowledge on product functionality of the main modules/sub-modules.
