JOB SUMMARY: The Unit4 ERP System Specialist is tasked with overseeing, maintaining, and enhancing the university's business management systems, specifically in Finance, Human Resources, and Procurement. Acting as the primary liaison and subject matter expert for the Unit4 ERP platform, this role involves providing support, spearheading development initiatives, and establishing the strategic direction of the system. Collaboration with the IT department is essential to ensure smooth integration across various systems. The Unit4 ERP System Specialist also offers assistance to other business areas regarding financial reporting and best practices, working closely with stakeholders to guarantee that the financial, HR, and procurement systems align with the organization's requirements. A deep understanding of the company's business systems and processes is crucial. The specialist must adapt the Unit4 ERP system and university processes to safeguard the organization's financial health and facilitate efficient information flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze, comprehend, and support our SaaS Unit4 ERP platform.
- Drive continuous improvement by proposing new and revised business processes and procedures in collaboration with functional teams.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues to enhance the overall user experience.
- Manage support incidents, problems, and changes in coordination with the Unit4 support teams.
- Provide technical assistance and training to end-users as necessary.
- Assist in generating reports and dashboards within the Unit4 ERP system.
- Establish documentation standards for business systems and aid functional teams in documenting their processes and procedures.
- Ensure effective knowledge management and configuration management practices are implemented across functional teams.
- Support functional teams in review and quality assurance activities for Unit4 ERP modifications.
- Collaborate with the IT team to integrate the Unit4 ERP system with other university systems.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Supervisor in accordance with departmental needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or Certification in an IT-related field, with a preference for systems and network administration (minimum Bac+2/3).
- At least 4-5 years of professional experience with ERP tools (Oracle, SAP, Unit4, formerly Agresso).
- Familiarity with accounting principles and operations in finance, HR, and procurement.
- Proficient in administering Unit4 ERP or comparable ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders, gather requirements, and assist in defining solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in troubleshooting queries and monitoring system performance.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication.
- Fluency in both French and English is required.
