Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Developer to join our team in France. As a Project Developer, you will be responsible for originating greenfield PV projects from scratch and developing them until they have obtained all the necessary permits to be ready to build.

You will work closely with our GIS team to target land in specific regions in France, secure public or private land for the development of large-scale solar projects, and manage the development and permitting of these projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify landowners of selected cadastral parcels and lead land negotiations with owners and farmers for agrivoltaics projects.
  • Analyze land characteristics to assess their relevance for solar farm development.
  • Obtain necessary signatures for projects, including promises of lease and constitutions of easements on private and public domain.
  • Interface with institutional partners, such as DDT, DREAL, and other public administrations, to advance project files.
  • Manage outsourced studies, including environmental impact assessments and ecological monitoring.
  • Prepare project presentation files and represent the company in front of various stakeholders.
  • Participate in consultations with communities, state services, and other actors to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Understanding of renewables industry, energy, and environmental issues.
  • Understanding of property development, particularly leases.
  • Technical understanding of solar farm development and construction.
  • Understanding of solar farm environmental planning constraints.
  • Understanding of commercial activities, including financial models, funding arrangements, and legals.
  • Experience in a similar role is essential.
