Role Summary / Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the North & South Europe (NSE) Region secures a significant share of the growing HVDC market across the Region, in coordination with the GSI Sales & Tendering teams, Marketing teams, and Global Account Managers.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition of the GSI NSE Region strategic positioning on HVDC:
    • In coordination with the GSI HVDC Segment Leader and thanks to continuous collection of information and interaction with the market stakeholders.
    • The successful candidate will get a comprehensive and structured view of the HVDC market in the NSE Region, its segmentation, its volume, and its trends.
    • Based on this market knowledge, under the leadership of the GSI NSE Commercial and Tendering Leader, this position contributes to the definition of a vision and a strategy to maximise profitable growth for GSI NSE on the HVDC market.
    • This role supports the GSI NSE Commercial and Tendering Leader, the GSI HVDC Segment Leader and the GSI Sales & Marketing Director to translate the validated HVDC vision and strategy into concrete commercial action plans.
  • Develop Customer intimacy with Key Accounts across the GSI NSE Region:
    • Across the GSI NSE Region, this role is accountable to develop knowledge of and relationship with the Key Accounts following HVDC projects.
  • HVDC Pipeline creation & management:
    • The successful candidate supports the GSI NSE Commercial and Tendering Leader and the GSI HVDC Segment Leader for HVDC pipeline identification, management, and for demand creation.
    • This role supports the prioritisation of the most interesting HVDC opportunities in terms of winning chances, chances of materialisation, alignment with our reference solutions, profitability, cash, and risk profile.
  • HVDC Proposal Management lead – People Leader:
    • As part of the ITO process in the region, he/she oversees all the GSI Proposal Management activities related to HVDC opportunities.
    • Accountable for the order intake volume and associated profit and down payments for the HVDC segment in the NSE Region.
    • Ensures that the GSI offers in the Region are executable and competitive.
    • Manages the Region Proposal Managers assigned to the HVDC opportunities in the Region.
    • Reports to the NSE Commercial & Tendering Leader.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Min. Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge or experience.
  • Extensive and demonstrated years of work experience in commercial, sales and/or marketing functions.
  • Experience in large and complex technical B2B sales in international environment.
  • Experience of Energy & Industry market will be an advantage.
