Altrad is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering team within the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Engineering Leadership: Develop and implement an engineering strategy that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects within the nuclear facilities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities comply with national and international nuclear safety regulations and standards.
- Technical Expertise and Innovation: Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of nuclear systems and components.
- Risk Management: Identify potential engineering risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage engineering resources effectively to optimize project performance and operational efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all engineering work adheres to the highest quality standards and best practices.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the engineering team.
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and senior management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or related field). A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE)) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in-depth knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and regulations in the nuclear industry, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
