The Logistics Operations Leader will be responsible for maintaining seamless and high-quality logistics functions, which include:

  • Distribution to clients
  • Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Storage & Handling
  • Stock transfer orders from manufacturing facilities and external 3PL warehouses

Your expertise in logistics management will enable the team to devise cost-efficient strategies while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

This position oversees a team of five individuals and reports directly to the France Supply Chain Manager, as part of the European Planning and Logistics division.

The chosen candidate must take initiative to meet targets related to Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost Savings.

You will be accountable for implementing the Ecolab Leadership Model, which focuses on envisioning, empowering, engaging, energizing, and embodying our mission and values to lead globally in sustainability, providing solutions and services in water, hygiene, and infection prevention that safeguard people and essential resources.

In this role, you will be required to spend a minimum of two days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate and negotiate with external 3PL and transportation partners to optimize operations.
  • Address and resolve any logistics-related issues or complaints.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the local Supply Chain team and manufacturing facilities, to facilitate daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively and foster positive collaboration with team members and internal contacts to meet service and cost objectives. Monitor customer needs to maintain high service levels and uphold Ecolab's interests.
  • Manage urgent and routine analytical requests.
  • Identify and implement systemic process enhancements.
  • Lead the selection of carriers in partnership with procurement and European carrier management.
  • Collaborate with European Supply Chain teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with local business units to enhance customer-focused supply chain improvements.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Over 8 years of proven experience in logistics operations.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a chemical supply chain environment, FMCG, or the agricultural industry.
