Clinical Manager for Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies

About the Role

Medtronic is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Manager to lead our team of Field Clinical Specialists in driving procedural success for Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing the daily operations of the team and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure therapy adoption by customers, safe patient outcomes, and meaningful device iteration feedback.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the daily operations of the Therapy Development team for clinical trial case support.
  • Monitor, guide, and coach remote direct reports to achieve enrolment targets, improve skills and productivity, and build sustainable customer relationships.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure adequate ancillary case support availability, delivery of industry-leading physician training in accordance with local regulations, support of on-site training/in-servicing for local hospital physicians, nurses, techs, and staff.
  • Assist in budget management, forecast creation, achieve revenue and expense goals.
  • Partner with Clinical, Quality, and the field team to ensure customer and device complaints are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Medical Education function to ensure the field team follows procedural best practices, are current on all imaging modalities (echo, CT, angiography), receive training on current and future device iterations, and stay up to date on relevant published data for both Medtronic and its competitors.
  • Perform field evaluations and provide on-going constructive feedback to improve individual performance.
  • Manage corporate resources, including demo product, simulators, and imaging equipment, direct allocation of those resources and team members globally.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Life-Science, Marketing, Business Administration, Biology, or another advanced degree.
  • Excellent influencing and consulting skills.
  • Ability to manage in a remote self-structured environment.
  • Experience developing and managing an operational budget.
  • Previous direct people management.
  • Ability to travel with overnight stays up to 75% of the time (geography variability).
