Role and Responsibilities
Purpose of the Role
The P&C division is vital to AXA Group's operations, emphasizing sustainable and profitable growth while promoting excellence in risk management and technical practices. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing underwriting governance and rules, ensuring alignment with the Product Approval Process (PAP) and Portfolio Management Process (PMP).
- Structuring the risk and control framework, focusing on exposure monitoring and adherence to risk appetite.
- Supporting innovative underwriting initiatives, including the integration of new technologies and artificial intelligence.
- Promoting innovative insurance solutions that address climate change challenges in the construction sector.
Key Dimensions
As a P&C Commercial Underwriting Specialist focusing on Construction and Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA), your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing Construction/Engineering products such as Construction All Risks (CAR) and Erection All Risks (EAR).
- Overseeing DUA underwriting, which involves AXA's participation in schemes with delegated authority to third parties.
Stakeholder Engagement
You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including the Group Sustainability Team, Group Risk Management, and all P&C entities, ensuring effective communication and coordination across the organization.

The role demands a high level of technical expertise in P&C underwriting, particularly in managing risks associated with natural events. Key challenges include:
