Electrical Engineering Specialist

ENGIE Renouvelables is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of our renewable energy projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Engineering Department in the design and development of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power plants.
  • Perform or subcontract network calculation studies and substation designs to ensure compliance with grid codes and regulations.
  • Establish or subcontract the realization of equipment specifications and erection work specifications prior to launching RFQs.
  • Participate in the RFQ process up to the selection of vendors and subcontractors and contract signature.
  • Pilot vendors and subcontractors during subcontracted conception activities and construction activities of projects.
  • Support geographical areas or any ENGIE Renouvelables partners during the Tendering phase and the Delivery phases of renewable power plant projects.
Non-Project Oriented Activities:
  • Perform technical qualifications of key equipment, such as PV inverters, wind turbine packages, and battery energy storage systems.
  • Perform normative watch and technology watch to identify and assess technical innovations and propose cost-optimized technical solutions.
  • Update ENGIE Renouvelables technical guidelines and documentation according to REX (e.g., Lessons Learnt sessions).
  • Act as a technical expert in the field of PV electrical engineering within the ENGIE group.
Requirements:
  • H0/B0 electrical qualification or local equivalent.
  • Master's degree in engineering (BAC+5 or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering.
  • One successful experience as Lead Electrical Engineer on the EPC of an industrial project.
  • Proven knowledge of the solar PV, wind, battery storage, and hydro technical market and its key actors.
  • Proven experiences and qualifications in network calculation studies and substation designs.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
