SKEMA Business School invites applications for a position at Assistant and/or Associate Professor rank, in Artificial Intelligence for Management, to begin August 2024. The successful candidate will develop and/or lead academic research projects with the aim of publishing in the field's highest-quality journals.

About the SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI)

The SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) is an interdisciplinary initiative focused on exploring the opportunities and implications of artificial intelligence for the management of organizations, industries, and business ecosystems. SCAI aims to investigate the economic, societal, and ethical value generated by Human Centric AI Systems for Business as well as to develop and enhance AI techniques and algorithms to solve specific business problems.

Research Directions
  • The use of machine learning (e.g., predictive modeling and reinforcement learning) to find optimized solutions.
  • The development of decision-support tools that combine data-driven models with knowledge-based models.
  • The exploration of how AI-enabled networked platforms are transforming business practices, fostering new business models, and shaping emerging business ecosystems.
Responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to:

  • Produce excellent research.
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in AI applied to Management.
  • Contribute to student mentorship.
  • Participate in projects related to the SKEMA SKY25 corporate strategy.
Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in Management or a related field (with orientation in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Robotics) or a related area.
  • A strong research orientation and track record, as demonstrated by a publication track record in highly regarded management journals (e.g., FT list) or show potential (for the position of Assistant Professor).
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a collegial environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellence in quantitative methods.
  • A strong interest to invest in the research focus on Artificial Intelligence in Management.
  • Commitment to service and/or outreach activities.
