About the Role

Vallourec, a world leader in premium steel tubular solutions, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its logistics function. As a key member of the global project to transform the supply chain, the successful candidate will play a central role in developing and enhancing the Group's logistics expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Logistics Operations Oversight: Oversee and enhance end-to-end international logistics operations, focusing on safety, cost efficiency, and business support.
  2. Transformation Leadership: Lead and manage the transformation of the logistics function to align with the company's strategic goals.
  3. Collaboration and Insights: Collaborate with regional directors to provide insights on logistical constraints, aiding them in making informed decisions.
  4. Service Offering Development: Develop a comprehensive service offering working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Performance Indicators
  1. Logistics Function Analysis: Analyze and audit the logistics function, including inbound, outbound, intercontinental, and storage operations.
  2. Process Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement high-level processes and standards to increase efficiency, reduce costs, support business decision-making, and improve customer satisfaction.
  3. Training and Development: Assess the needs, create, and ensure the implementation of specific training programs for the logistics team to build a high-performing department.
  4. Performance Metrics Monitoring: Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to make data-driven decisions aimed at improving service levels.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with regional directors to assist them in making informed decisions by providing detailed insights on logistical constraints.
Requirements
  1. Education: A master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Experience: At least 10 years of experiences in logistic or supply chain functions with a proven experience in leading international transformation projects.
  3. Leadership and Team Management: Impactful leadership and team management abilities.
  4. Adaptability: Being pragmatic and adapting to various stakeholders.
  5. Language Skills: Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
