With a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, ENGIE has been actively engaged in the biomethane production sector since 2015, boasting a portfolio of operational plants and a robust development pipeline.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Construction Site Supervisor will report to the Head of Construction and Commissioning within the Renewable Gases Europe division and will work closely with the Execution Project Manager on assigned projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Management:
- Oversee all construction and commissioning processes from initial setup to final handover to the Operations & Maintenance team.
- Understand project execution plans, schedules, and local regulations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Establish site infrastructure, including security and temporary facilities.
- Implement the RGE Quality Management System on-site and ensure all contractors are trained on requirements.
- Facilitate site demobilization and transition to the Operations and Maintenance team.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards on-site and at off-site facilities, collaborating closely with the HSE Advisor.
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance among all team members and contractors.
- Organize HSE training sessions and events to enhance awareness and performance.
- Achieve HSE targets, maintaining a zero-incident record.
- Develop coordination maps and schedules to streamline contractor interfaces.
- Review construction documentation to ensure safe and efficient execution of activities.
- Lead daily coordination meetings to address site activities and challenges.
- Provide timely updates on project risks and performance metrics.
- Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans.
- Address non-conformance issues promptly and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct mechanical completion inspections and manage project documentation.
- Collaborate with the Project Planner to monitor project schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate procurement needs and manage project budgets effectively.
- Support contract administration and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
- Lead and motivate site teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training.
- Foster positive relationships with contractors and stakeholders to enhance collaboration.
- Maintain a professional image of ENGIE in all interactions.
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in construction management.
- Proven experience in leading construction projects, preferably in renewable energy or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
