Position Overview
Job Title: Financial Control Trainee
Lazard, a prominent global financial advisory and asset management firm, operates in numerous cities across various continents. Established in 1848, the organization specializes in providing strategic advice on mergers and acquisitions, capital structuring, fundraising, financing, and asset management services. Our clientele encompasses corporations, institutions, governments, and individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight:
- Assist the team with monthly closing activities, including journal entry processing.
- Implement US GAAP reclassifications within the balance sheet.
- Manage various allocations, including notional rent and specific accounting entries.
- Support simple lease accounting tasks.
Financial Reporting:
- Help prepare monthly and ad hoc reports for local management.
- Contribute to the development of monthly presentations for the Operating Committee.
- Engage in commentary and analysis of various management reports.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and budget revisions.
Additional Duties:
- Develop and document procedures and operational guidelines in the financial control domain.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance, CCA, or DSCG.
- Previous experience in financial control or accounting is advantageous.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
- Strong command of the English language.
