Suntory Beverage and Food is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Île-de-France. As a Senior Buyer in Packaging Caps & Closures, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating plastic and metal closures for our European markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a budget and optimize costs through negotiation activities and proactive optimization projects.
- Develop and implement strategies for the most strategic categories, improve master strategies for other sub-categories, and conduct regular follow-ups on market evolution.
- Ensure compliance, supplier performance, and risk management by preparing and contributing to suppliers' regular reviews, maintaining risk analysis, and developing framework agreements.
- Focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability by actively participating in the procurement, R&D, and marketing community, defining and monitoring a pipeline of value optimization ideas, and supporting the organization in progressing sustainable sourcing strategies.
- Drive global sourcing activities by advising on strategy and best supplier options using market knowledge expertise.
This role involves managing timing, quality, costs, and sustainability in line with functional, business, regional, and Suntory objectives. You will drive and optimize the procurement of the subcategories and build and manage a supplier panel.
As a Senior Buyer in Packaging Caps & Closures, you will be based on five accountabilities:
- Manage a budget and its cost optimization.
- Work on market insights, strategies, development, and business partnering.
- Ensure compliance, supplier performance, and risk management.
- Focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability.
- Drive global sourcing activities.
