About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ESG Reporting Manager to join our team at HSBC. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our external ESG disclosures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business and finance stakeholders to understand and manage ESG disclosure requirements, including EU Taxonomy and EBA Pillar 3.
  • Provide support to address data challenges and operationalize the delivery of new regulations.
  • Support the production of external ESG disclosures, ensuring robust governance and sign off prior to publication.
  • Develop and implement verification and assurance processes to ensure the quality of external reporting.
  • Support the wider HSBC climate strategy and implications for HBCE.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in finance, with a strong background in quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Pillar 3 and EU Taxonomy is preferable, but not essential.
  • Commercial outlook and ability to connect numbers, performance drivers, and real-world events.
  • Strong project management skills, including creating lean processes and governance structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and articulate a viewpoint when working with stakeholders.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, resolve problems, and respond effectively to emerging issues.
  • Able to work effectively within a complex, global organization.
