Sales Director and Marketing Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director and Marketing Manager to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading our sales efforts and developing strategies to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales team to achieve sales objectives and drive revenue growth
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Manage the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral
- Interface with regional marketing communications for regional and national promotions pull-through
- Develop strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional, and national tradeshows and client events
- Set goals and expectations for direct reports using the Leadership Performance Process (LPP), align performance and rewards, address performance issues, and hold staff accountable for successful results
- Support tools and training resources to educate sales associates on winning catering solutions
- Continuously upgrade the sales and marketing talent, identify, train, and mentor group sales associates, and utilize all available on-the-job training tools for associates
Requirements:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years of experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years of experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
- Lodging sales experience
- Hotel industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
