Industrial Automation within Datacomm & Solutions (DSS), a business unit of Molex LLC, builds innovative communication and control products for the Industrial automation space and our sustaining team within the platform team the manufacturing processes that enable the production of these solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Participate in the creation of design requirements to support a viable manufacturing process for new product introduction (NPI) projects.
· Participate in the development and field commissioning of production fixtures to support the test of Electronic PCBA's and industrial IO products.
· Engage with our CM's to support the transfer of products across different sites or to address production issues with existing product lines. Deployment of additional test fixtures, assessment of test processes and improvement of workflows such as robotic soldering or potting.
· Work with outside vendors for the creation of specialized tooling to support the production requirements.
· Document and perform first article inspections (FAI's) against the production flow within the NPI workflow.
· Participate in the investigation and sourcing of technologies that can improve production efficiency and product quality. Such as potting equipment, robotic soldering, and other complex production equipment.
· Support team members in task planning and technical execution.
