Experienced Driver for Agricultural Development Project

The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking to recruit three dynamic and experienced Drivers to support a vital agricultural project in Madagascar.
This position will be hosted by AfricaRice on behalf of CIP, with the selected candidates based in Atsimo Andrefana, Androy, and Anosy regions. You will report directly to the Finance and Administrative Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for officials, staff, and guests, ensuring punctuality for meetings, airport transfers, field missions, and local/regional travel.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular maintenance checks. Accurately record all vehicle information in the logbook and other relevant documents.
- Offer administrative support to office staff, including photocopying, printing, scanning, and assisting with inventory management as needed.
- Assist with visa application processes and passport collection for various embassies.
- Support the Office Assistant with record-keeping of publications and books, and assist in paying office utility bills.
- Adhere to all applicable health and safety policies and procedures established by CIP.
Requirements:
- Technical education or equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years of proven experience in a similar driving role with a clean driving record.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Exceptional 4-wheel driving skills, particularly in challenging terrain.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle repairs.
- Fluency in French.
- Working knowledge of English is desirable.
