We're seeking a skilled Database Reliability Engineer to join our Database Optimization team at Doctolib. As a key member of our tech team, you'll play a critical role in preserving the performance of our databases and empowering our feature teams to use our datastores efficiently.
Your Responsibilities:
- Empower feature teams on database best practices and optimize query performance.
- Break down our main PostgreSQL database (30TB) into smaller, more scalable databases.
- Monitor and alert on performance issues, and offer recommendations to feature teams.
- Perform maintenance tasks on our managed databases to enhance stability and improve performance.
- Upskill our developers on database performance challenges.
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or Engineer with a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in identifying and rectifying database performance bottlenecks.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling efficient knowledge transmission.
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers on database performance challenges.
- Business fluent in English.
