Your role will involve engaging with business leaders to address their most pressing challenges and elevate their operational performance. By utilizing AWS' premier cloud services, you will design highly scalable, adaptable, and resilient cloud architectures that resolve business issues and expedite the customer’s cloud journey. Customer experience will always be at the forefront of our initiatives.

You will effectively communicate and collaborate with various AWS teams, including product development, marketing, and professional services, while representing your team to senior management. A proven ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical hurdles is essential. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to excellence will leave a lasting impact on our customers.

Key Responsibilities
As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for managing the technical relationship with clients, providing recommendations on security, cost-efficiency, performance, reliability, operational effectiveness, and best-practice architectures.
Internally, you will advocate for the customer, driving continuous enhancements to the AWS platform by conveying their needs to inform the development of AWS features and services. You will also contribute to the evolution of the Solutions Architecture organization by mentoring and guiding new talent.
In this position, your creativity will connect technology with practical solutions, allowing you to define or create cloud-native reference architectures in collaboration with the global AWS Solutions Architect community. You will engage in creating and disseminating best practices, technical documentation, and new reference architectures (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog entries) and promote AWS technology through various channels (e.g., workshops, user groups, public speaking engagements).

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team is dedicated to driving revenue, adoption, and growth across a diverse range of customers, from small and mid-market accounts to large enterprises, including public sector organizations. The AWS Global Support team collaborates with leading companies, believing that exceptional support is vital to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global array of clients that are developing mission-critical applications utilizing AWS services.

Basic Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field OR 8+ years of relevant professional or military experience.

• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data analytics).

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures addressing critical challenges in Energy companies (Oil and Gas, Power, or Utilities).

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.

• A demonstrated passion for developing solutions that drive business value.

• A technical degree in basic sciences, technology, physics, engineering, or mathematics is required, or a non-technical degree with four years of relevant professional experience.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English and French) in both technical and strategic engagements with senior leaders.

Preferred Qualifications


• Extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: cloud solutions, virtualization platforms, software development, operational management practices and frameworks, front-end/full-stack development, customer experience, and design-centered development/architecture.

• Knowledge of security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems, and networking connectivity.

• Experience with large-scale systems integration involving on-premises technology and public cloud platforms.

• Cloud certifications or professional experience in building cloud-native solutions.

• Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or modern approaches to infrastructure-as-code.
