Overview of the Role:

As a Senior Technical Project Coordinator, you will guide the project team through the phases of definition and planning, subsequently overseeing and controlling technical projects until completion, utilizing established Project Management methodologies. Your focus will be on supporting the scope and managing deliverables within the stability and security portfolio. This portfolio is directed by the strategic framework set forth by our R&D and Security guidelines. In this capacity, you will represent our technical roadmap. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Amadeus, along with technical proficiency in areas such as cloud migration, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Strong project management capabilities, including budget, scope, and schedule oversight, coupled with leadership skills to drive IT initiatives, are essential. This role demands a proactive thought leader with exceptional analytical and planning abilities, a meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to navigate a dynamic environment through collaborative efforts. Working with global teams, you will facilitate the organization of teams around a shared vision and implement standardized practices to achieve objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution
  • Create comprehensive project plans, detailing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to establish project scope and objectives.
  • Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints while meeting quality benchmarks.

Team Leadership
  • Direct and manage technical teams, offering guidance and support.
  • Encourage communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for technical personnel.

Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Formulate contingency plans to address potential challenges.

Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Deliver regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met.

Technical Expertise
  • Maintain a strong grasp of technical elements pertinent to the project, such as software development, IT infrastructure, or engineering.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies.

Process Improvement
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assess project performance and identify areas for enhancement.

Resource Management
  • Allocate and oversee the resources necessary for a project, including personnel, hardware, software (including licenses), and budget.
  • Optimize resource utilization to efficiently meet project goals.

Documentation
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and change requests.

Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize these insights to enhance future project management practices and methodologies.
  • Engage in training programs available through corporate learning platforms or other relevant avenues.

About the Ideal Candidate

Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Technical Project Management.
  • Prior knowledge of the hotel industry is advantageous.
  • A background in Systems or DevOps is beneficial.

Certification/Education
  • Familiarity with SAFe and Agile methodologies.
  • PMP certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
