Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Certification and Qualification Engineer (CQE) within Airbus Helicopters. You will be a key member of the Initial Airworthiness Department, contributing to the innovative H160 project.
Role Responsibilities:
The primary focus of the Certification Engineer is to oversee the compliance verification to the relevant airworthiness standards (CS29) for new designs and types. This includes leading the assessment of safe flight capabilities during certification flight tests.
This role is dynamic and requires collaboration across various teams within Airbus Helicopters, as well as interaction with Aviation Authorities (EASA and DGA). You will gain a comprehensive understanding of Airbus Helicopters' products and organizational structure.
Each project will involve diverse stakeholders, including Chief Engineering, System Design Responsible, and flight test pilots. Your workspace will be strategically located on the H160 plateau, facilitating regular communication with essential team members.
As a CQE for the H160, you will engage with cutting-edge technologies and be responsible for mechanical and/or avionic systems.
Moreover, the HIL contract will enable you to work closely with both DGA and EASA authorities, particularly as a new model derived from H160 undergoes certification. You will also be responsible for the Qualification phase and liaising with DGA as the customer.
For each new design, you will need to comprehend all project aspects (technical content, configuration) to establish the corresponding certification program (CP). This involves identifying all affected CS29 requirements and proposing Means of Compliance. As a CQE, you will share the responsibility of formulating the certification strategy, which will be reviewed and aligned with Certification Verification Engineers until consensus is reached.
For design changes classified as Minor under Part 21, you will lead the compliance demonstration until approval. For Major changes, you will act as a crucial interface with the Aviation Authority (EASA or DGA) to secure the necessary approvals.
As the CQE for H160M, you will also take on responsibilities in demonstrating compliance with performance requirements during the Qualification phase and interfacing with the DGA authority.

Your Profile:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system engineering.
- Experience in aircraft/engine certification or equipment qualification is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and structured thinking.
- Proactive and customer-focused mindset.
- Intellectual curiosity and excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in French and English.
This position may require security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
