Junior Data Scientist Intern

As a Junior Data Scientist Intern at SOPHiA GENETICS, you will contribute to the development and validation of deep-learning algorithms designed to predict treatment responses in various cancer types, including liver, breast, and lung cancer.
This project is part of a larger initiative focused on multimodal predictive models that aim to improve treatment outcomes in oncology. You will be involved in:
- Constituting and managing training and testing cohorts from real-world medical datasets.
- Training deep-learning algorithms on medical imaging datasets to improve prediction accuracy.
- Testing and validating the performance and effectiveness of deep-learning models.
- Optimizing and fine-tuning deep-learning models for better performance and clinical applicability.
Requirements
The experience you bring:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of deep-learning techniques and image processing.
- Proficiency in Python, with a strong interest in machine learning and AI.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively, and collaborate within a team, while also working independently when required.
