Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at Pepr Diadem. As a key member of our targeted project, HIWAY-2-MAT, you will be responsible for the combinatorial deposition of thin films and high-speed characterization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thin Film Deposition: You will be responsible for the sputter deposition of thin oxide layers for applications in the field of X-chromium materials (thermochromium and electrochromium).
  • Physico-Chemical Characterization: You will use tools that promote high throughput and structural studies by X-ray diffraction to characterize the layers.
  • Result Formatting and Presentation: You will format and present the results of your research in a clear and concise manner.
  • Project Coordination: You will organize and lead meetings associated with the project and draft minutes.
  • Collaboration: You will liaise with partners, particularly the CEA-TECH team, and participate in scientific communication and dissemination activities.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: You should have training and experience in the deposition of thin films by physical means and, if possible, cathodic sputtering.
  • Physico-Chemical Characterization: You should have experience in the physico-chemical characterization of materials.
  • Data Processing: You should be proficient in data processing using Python codes.
  • Scientific Knowledge: You should have a good scientific knowledge and be able to demonstrate a high level of rigour and responsiveness.
  • Language Skills: You should have a good level of comprehension and expression in English.

Operational Skills:

  • Adaptability and Communication: You should be able to adapt and communicate effectively.
  • Teamwork: You should be able to work as part of a team, particularly in a partnership context.
  • Scientific Writing: You should be able to interpret and write scientific notes.
