Job Title: Head of Piping Engineering

Location: Global Opportunities
Contract Duration: 36 Months

Qualification and Experience Required:
  1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent
  2. 15 years of experience at a senior Piping Engineering supervisory level
  3. Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities design, construction, and operations
  4. Experience with cryogenic piping systems design
Job Context & Major Challenges:

Verify the design and implementation of piping deliverables including:

  1. Large pipe sizes
  2. Large valves (e.g. control, motor operated, pressure relief, manual)
  3. Cryogenic systems
  4. High pressure steam and high pressure sour gas services

Responsibilities include:

  1. Approvals of piping stress calculations
  2. Design of piping shoes, pipe hangers, and weld joint design
  3. G&A, plant layout, and 3D model

Major challenges for this role are:

  1. Effectively managing FEED Contractor and Piping Engineering team to deliver technical input in accordance with project requirements from contract award until EPC contract award
  2. Maintaining constructive working relationships with FEED Contractor, its subcontractors, and vendors to ensure delivery of work scope in accordance with project requirements
  3. Maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Operations and SHE and Quality) to ensure alignment of Piping Engineering deliverables

Maintaining a high level of technical expertise and staying up-to-date with industry developments is essential for success in this role.
