We are seeking a highly skilled Space Operations Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced engineering solutions.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing operational procedures to achieve mission objectives and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards. They will also contribute to the definition of the ground segment, ensuring that monitoring and commanding functions of the spacecraft are reliable and consistent with operational requirements.
Responsibilities- Elaborate operational procedures that fulfill mission objectives
- Update the CONOPS according to spacecraft design evolutions
- Contribute to the ground segment design and spacecraft requirements
- Interface with and support other teams to centralize mission considerations and distribute implementation constraints
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards
- Contribute to mission operations processes and tools to meet high-quality engineering standards
- Participate in mission preparation and execution
- 7+ years of experience in a similar position, including participation in space operations (launches and/or spacecraft control)
- Ideal background from the Defense/Aerospace industry (e.g. MBDA, Thales, Dassault, Safran, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in satellite operations
- Expertise in orbital mechanics, flight dynamics, and mission operations
- High-level knowledge of systems engineering, spacecraft systems, and spacecraft performances
- Ability to synthesize and structure in clear documentation
- Knowledge of technical English is required; fluency in French is a plus
