Descartes Underwriting is seeking an experienced Actuary Officer to join our Risk Management & Actuarial Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the deployment of Solvency 2 production and reports.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that the solvency assessment takes into account the specific risk profile of the company.
- Contribute to any additional ACPR requests (figures, tests, etc.).
- Contribute to the production of all reporting data required to the regulators (QRT).
- Ensure the relevance of the methodologies and underlying models used and the assumptions made in the calculation process.
- Assess the sufficiency and quality of data used in the calculation of technical provisions.
- Assess the reliability and adequacy of the calculation of technical provisions and compare best estimates against experience.
- Masters degree in Actuarial from an actuarial school.
- Fluency in English and French is required (written and spoken).
- Commitment from Descartes to its staff of continued learning and development.
