Role Overview:
The Financial Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our projects. This position involves comprehensive analysis and oversight of commercial proposals and contracts to mitigate risks and enhance profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate commercial proposals developed by regional teams or the National Grand Projects Directorate, focusing on risk assessment across technical, legal, financial, and contractual dimensions. Ensure adherence to established national protocols.
- Conduct thorough reviews of the Region's underperforming contracts to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and improved financial outcomes.
- Implement retrospective evaluations in accordance with national Contract Management guidelines to ensure compliance during the initial operational phase and to identify significant financial and operational risks related to contractual obligations.
- Address contract audits initiated by project managers appointed by key stakeholders.
- Assist Territorial Agencies in executing end-of-contract procedures, emphasizing the reduction of financial risks associated with unmet obligations and evaluating personnel transfer considerations.
- Perform specialized financial analyses to improve the management of the Region's contract economics, including the relationship between operational cost trends and remuneration adjustment formulas, as well as monitoring monthly and seasonal P&L fluctuations.
- Provide financial modeling assistance to sales teams to assess the viability of proposed commercial amendments and evaluate the financial implications of client-requested contract alterations.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and collaborator, capable of fostering strong relationships with both operational and financial stakeholders.
Possessing a degree in Finance/Accounting (DCG / Business School / Master's in finance/accounting) or Engineering, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, you are known for your diligence, foresight, and flexibility.
Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential for this role.
