International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join its Headquarters in Sri Lanka.
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating projects, fostering collaboration among team members, implementation partners, and stakeholders. The incumbent will be responsible for administrative tasks, monitoring project progress, and implementing risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely reports for projects and activities.
- Liaise with internal and external counterparts to promote effective collaboration and monitor project progress.
- Identify and develop potential partnerships to support project objectives.
- Process partnership contracts and amendments.
- Facilitate regular meetings with project teams and implementing partners.
- Support financial, operational, and logistical processes.
- Track project portfolios and progress.
- Assist team leaders in project management activities.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to project portfolio growth.
- Support project leaders in preparing work plans, progress reports, and budgets.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination and management.
- Demonstrated familiarity with social media platforms.
- Proven track record of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in water management or climate change.
- Experience working with government bodies and development partners.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Essential:
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to establish priorities and plan work activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Facilitation skills.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to handle sensitive information.
- Personal attributes including high standards of conduct and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent oral and written language skills in English.
Benefits:
This is a nationally recruited position, and only Sri Lankan nationals will be considered. IWMI offers a competitive salary and benefits package, inclusive of health insurance, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and long-term disability coverage. The duration of the contract will initially be for a period of three years with the possibility of extension.
