Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Sabena Technics, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems in a PART21J environment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze technical documentation, including aircraft and system specifications.
- Study system installation and develop technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Realize 3D mockups and aircraft environment, as needed.
- Produce system installation drawings, routing drawings, and definition part drawings.
- Manage definition folders and archive project technical documentation.
- Support procurement teams in finding suitable parts or alternatives.
- Write service bulletins and job cards.
- Ensure technical documentation is provided to the Tech Pub team for manual supplements.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, such as ITCM, PDR, and CDR.
- Perform aircraft surveys and provide technical support to MRO teams.
- Minimum high school degree, with experience and/or significant aircraft knowledge.
- Initial training in a design office, with a superior technician's certificate in industrial product design.
- Technical and operational skills, including knowledge of aircraft architecture, maintenance documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Soft skills, such as CAO, MS Office, fluent English, and writing skills.
