Project Coordinator for Quantum Research Initiatives

Overview:

In the context of a collaborative laboratory established between a prominent research institution and an innovative start-up specializing in quantum technologies, the role involves overseeing and directing various projects undertaken by a diverse team of researchers, including Postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates. You will play a crucial role in the operational management of the laboratory, particularly within the framework of academic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the management of both European and national research initiatives associated with the laboratory, focusing on:

  • Regularly monitoring and updating project statuses, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, deliverables, and administrative obligations.
  • Facilitating financial oversight of projects, establishing performance metrics, and ensuring adherence to funding regulations.
  • Coordinating meetings and ensuring that project timelines and commitments are fulfilled.

· Oversee the scheduling and logistical arrangements for the team and visiting researchers.

· Prepare comprehensive documentation, including meeting minutes, decision records, annual summaries, and financial reports.

· Develop and implement a robust communication strategy for both internal and external stakeholders, utilizing various platforms such as websites and social media.

· Assist in the governance of the laboratory, which includes:

  • Organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and distributing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborating on budget preparation and monitoring with finance departments.
  • Facilitating the transfer and valorization of intellectual property between the collaborating entities.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree along with a minimum of two years of experience in a research or public institution is required.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in English (minimum B2 level) and French is essential.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of the structure and operations of public research organizations.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and regulations relevant to public entities.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, as well as advanced office software applications.
  • Ability to prepare and present briefing notes and summary documents effectively.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and the ability to suggest improvements. Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality are essential.
