Gardening Specialist

Job Title: Gardeners

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining the resort's gardens, green walls, paths, lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful and tranquil environment, utilizing your gardening skills to create a stunning outdoor space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain gardens, green walls, paths, lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants by pruning, trimming, and other gardening techniques.
• Inspect lawns and all other plants for problems and apply fertilizers, fungicides, weed killers, and other chemicals to control pests and diseases.
• Maintain all equipment (including safety equipment) in good working condition at all times and attend to any minor repairs that need to be done.
• Keep all parking lots and other public spaces of the hotel clean and free of litter.
• Be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.
• Observe cleanliness at the place of work and on the job after completion of work.
• Ensure cleanliness of appearance and uniform, particularly when working in guest areas.
• Be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub-sections of the Engineering Department.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Grounds and Gardens Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in gardening or a related field.
• Knowledge of gardening techniques and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
