As a Lead Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our studio members, ensuring that project teams are appropriately structured to meet the unique demands of each architecture and interior design initiative. Your enthusiasm for all phases of the design process, from initial assessments to detailed technical specifications and construction documentation, will be essential. You will possess a wealth of experience in managing technical workflows, coupled with exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively interpret and address client requirements.

A comprehensive understanding of the entire design lifecycle, from marketing through to project completion, is crucial. You should have substantial international experience, having contributed to a diverse array of projects.

As a self-driven collaborator with a constructive and engaging approach, the Lead Technical Architect will work closely with colleagues across various practice areas, not only within the local office but also across the firm. You will engage with clients, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders at all levels, providing mentorship and support to less experienced members of the Architecture and Interiors teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with Management and Lead Designers to oversee the execution of multiple concurrent projects.
  2. Direct teams in the intricate technical development of designs and ensure thorough follow-through.
  3. Contribute actively to the technical development of designs and provide critical input during the creation and execution of construction documents.
  4. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
  5. Lead the technical dimensions of project teams, supervising all project phases.
  6. Steer design teams towards cohesive and rational technical solutions that align with client briefs while adhering to project specifications, ensuring compliance with technical, legal, and financial standards.
  7. Keep the technical team informed about current building regulations and the Quality Management System.
  8. Engage with clients to fulfill the design intentions outlined in project briefs.

Required Qualifications

  1. A degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Interior Design (undergraduate or master's).
  2. Extensive, demonstrable experience in leading large teams through all project stages, including construction administration.
  3. A strong design sensibility that enhances projects through technical innovation and methodologies.
  4. Advanced technical skills and experience in preparing construction documents (drawings and specifications).
  5. Proven experience in full-cycle construction administration across multiple projects.
  6. Familiarity with Workplace projects is advantageous.
  7. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
  8. Experience with international projects is a plus.
  9. Fluency in both French and English is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Ability to cultivate positive relationships with external design firms and corporate clients, including experience advising executives in global professional services and financial sectors.
  2. Experience in facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholders to achieve consensus.
  3. Background in mentoring and developing junior staff members.
