The Geology and Mining Director is a key member of Eramet's Central Technical Division, playing a strategic role within the Group. Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer of the Eramet Group Operations Division, this role requires expertise in geology and mine planning.
Responsibilities:- Develop and deploy Group standards and practices in geosciences, mining engineering, and tactical and strategic mine planning.
- Collaborate with Group subsidiaries to manage their sites, enhancing risk control and competitiveness.
- Update practice guides for the Eramet value chain elements under responsibility, in the EPS reference system.
- Participate in EPS deployment strategies for geology and mining activities.
- Lead the ICG mining to ensure optimal use and involvement of field experts in building best practices.
- Contribute to strategic and operational plans for Group mining activities.
- Drive the digitalization and innovation roadmap for geological and mine engineering activities.
- Review risks and deploy related controls for all Group sites in geotechnics, industrial mining risks, and mining performance.
- Develop and update financial modeling of the value chain with the finance department.
- Lead the team towards excellence, driving continuous improvement, benchmarking, and innovation in mining processes.
As a trained engineer or Master 2 with a specialization in mining and geology, you should have at least 15 years' experience in mining and possess the following skills:
- Excellent command of the mining process, from resource estimation to marketing.
- Geological and mining technical skills.
- Expertise in Project Management, Operational Excellence, and Mining Economics.
- Thoroughness and ability to synthesize.
- Results orientation.
- Proactive.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and open-mindedness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent written and spoken English and French required.
