Consolidation Department Lead

At Qonto, we're looking for a skilled Financial Consolidation Specialist to spearhead the creation of our consolidation department. As a key member of our finance team, you'll work closely with our Head of Accounting and consolidation to guide Qonto through its most critical financial consolidation phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Internalize Qonto's IFRS consolidation, currently managed by an external provider
Implement the quarterly Qonto IFRS consolidation, changing scope, intercompany reconciliation, Cashflow Statement, Equity, OCI, IFRS entries
Define the closing calendar and instructions, and share them with the Accounting and FP&A teams
Produce the Qonto IFRS consolidated financial statements, including disclosures
Coordinate the audit of the IFRS consolidated financial statements
Monitor IFRS accounting regulations for Qonto, foreseeing impacts on budgeting and long-term plans, particularly IFRS 9
Support the finance teams in understanding and implementing IFRS standards
Implement and keep updated the accounting group standard manual
Participate in ad-hoc projects, such as the annual impairment test, Goodwill, and the integration of future M&A targets into our consolidation practices, ensuring alignment with IFRS and French GAAP

About You:
Experience in financial consolidation within a listed company or large family group
Proficiency in IFRS & French GAAP, with a solid background in audit and financial reporting
Demonstrated ability to build or significantly contribute to a consolidation department
Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex concepts in simple terms
Proactive and autonomous, with a knack for problem-solving and cross-departmental collaboration
Fluent in both French and English
