Project Planner Role
About the Job
As a Project Planner at Altrad, you will work closely with a team of planners to deliver projects across a varied portfolio of works. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and manage Level 2 programmes in Primavera, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Level 2 programmes in Primavera, working closely with the client and supply chain teams.
- Review programme elements of scope documents as part of procurements, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of project timelines and milestones.
- Interface with the supply chain to review programmes in accordance with NEC4 requirements, ensuring that all parties are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
- Update progress in the Level 2 programme, forecasting remaining works and identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage programme interfaces between different projects and suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Support the re-baseline of the Level 2 programme, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of changes and updates.
- Manage baseline changes and develop 'what-if' scenarios, ensuring that the programme remains flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
- Report to various stakeholders, both internally and externally, providing regular updates on project progress and performance.
Requirements
- Excellent Primavera (P6) knowledge and experience of major projects containing integrated schedules.
- Experience of planning services in medium to large-sized projects within the construction industry and regulated industries.
- Good understanding of the various forms of tender documents, contract documents, and specifications.
- Good understanding of the various methods of planning, programme, and progress monitoring.
- Good understanding of risk and opportunity management with reference to planning & programming.
- Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labour requirements.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, including writing reports and presenting.
