Your Role: Social Ethics ResponsibleAs a Social Ethics Responsible, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our supply chains adhere to the highest ethical and sustainability standards. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to monitor compliance obligations across various product categories.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Execute Audit Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive social and environmental audit programs, conducting approximately 200 audits annually. Provide guidance and support to suppliers in implementing corrective actions to address identified issues.
- Collaborate on Compliance Initiatives: Actively participate in internal working groups focused on enhancing social and environmental audit tools and methodologies. Stay abreast of evolving regulations and industry best practices.
- Supply Chain Monitoring: Analyze and monitor the supply chains of key raw materials, including soy, cocoa, avocado, cotton, cashmere, and others. Track European discussions and developments related to compliance obligations directives.
- Regulatory Implementation: Lead the implementation of European anti-deforestation regulations and AGEC law compliance tools within our operations.
- Product Sustainability: Oversee the implementation of environmental labeling programs for textile, home linen, and footwear products. Ensure adherence to product stewardship requirements (REP) and represent Monoprix in ReFashion initiatives.
- International Standards: Monitor compliance with the International ACCORD framework in Bangladesh and Pakistan. Engage in Paris Good Fashion working groups, professional federations, and provide expert insights on responsible products within textile, accessories, home, and leisure sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing social and environmental audits, compliance obligations within the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of textile and home product manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with various certifications for textile, home, and leisure products.
- Keen interest in European regulations and sustainability standards.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, and proven networking abilities.
- Proactive, curious, open-minded, and fluent in professional English.
