About the Role
Altrad is seeking a skilled Thermal Insulation Specialist to join our team. As a Thermal Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out thermal insulation duties in a manner that complies with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- To carry out thermal insulation duties in a manner that complies with industry standards and client specifications.
- To maintain health and safety during thermal insulation activities.
- To demonstrate effective communication and actively participate in pre-job briefings.
- To work effectively within a team environment.
- To have a basic understanding and knowledge of thermal insulation activities, both theoretically and practically.
- To understand method statements and risk assessments to carry out tasks safely.
- To select the correct insulation materials and finishes relevant to various applications and changing operational environments.
- To identify and escalate any significant risks to health and safety and report risks and any defects to the Supervisor and safety teams.
- To remove and re-apply insulation materials and finishes in conjunction with the current industry standards and in compliance with the Altrad and client procedures and specifications.
- To undertake instruction from the Supervisor and act with professionalism.
- To monitor and maintain good housekeeping, ensuring work areas are kept tidy.
- To report any accidents, incidents, and near misses to the Site Supervisor or Site Manager immediately.
Requirements
- Thermal Insulation, (NVQ level 2 or 3, City & Guilds craft studies).
- Thermal Insulation CSCS Gold Card holder (desirable).
- CCNSG Safety Passport.
