About the Project
The EXPLORE+ project is a large-scale research initiative at CEA, focusing on understanding learning and decision-making processes in the healthy brain using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) at high spatiotemporal resolution. This cognitive neuroscience study is led by Dr. Philippe Ciuciu and involves collaboration with the Inria-CEA MIND and CEA-CNRS BAOBAB labs.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to contribute to the development of accelerated MR imaging techniques, particularly for functional imaging. The successful candidate will work closely with a PhD candidate to make the fMRI acquisition scenario realistic on both data acquisition and image reconstruction sides. This involves improving the existing fMRI image reconstruction pipeline to make it easier and faster for end-users, leveraging in-house developments and deep learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the fMRI image reconstruction pipeline using in-house developments and deep learning techniques
- Investigate unrolled deep neural networks and/or Plug&Play algorithms for image reconstruction
- Develop a complete reconstruction solution connected to the console using Gadgetron or Open Recon Siemens Healthineers platform
- Automate the correction of off-resonance artifacts within the pipeline
Requirements
- PhD in electrical or biomedical engineering with a solid background in MRI, signal processing, and Artificial Intelligence
- Proficiency in software programming, particularly in scientific Python
- Preliminary experience with PyTorch and Slurm for working on supercomputers is a plus
- Team player capabilities and ability to work in a collaborative environment
