Your Role

At Go Electra, cybersecurity is integral to our operations. As we build essential infrastructure that supports the mobility needs of many, safeguarding our systems and data is crucial for maintaining user trust and service reliability. As our inaugural Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be tasked with establishing our security framework from the ground up, reporting directly to the Head of Data & Information Systems.

Your Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be the pioneer of our security team, charged with defending the organization’s digital assets against cyber threats. Your role will encompass monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents to uphold the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our data. Specifically, you will:

  • Security Monitoring: Continuously oversee security systems, logs, and alerts to identify and address potential security threats.
  • Incident Management: Lead the response to security incidents, including analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
  • Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Risk Evaluation: Perform risk assessments to pinpoint and prioritize security risks.
  • Policy Development: Create, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant security standards and regulations, including ISO 27001 and NIS2.
  • Security Training: Facilitate security awareness training for staff to foster a security-conscious culture.
  • Threat Analysis: Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, providing insights to enhance our security posture.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate security measures into all organizational processes.
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and related issues for management review.
Your Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years in information security or a related area.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, along with infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
  • Strong grasp of network protocols, operating systems, cloud environments, and web applications.
  • Background in incident response and forensic analysis.
  • Familiarity with IoT security practices.
