The Non-Functional Requirement, End-to-End platform test, Community and coaches (NEC) is dedicated to ensuring the excellence of our cloud offerings.
The organization undertakes several key missions:
- Guarantee the stability of the Cloud Platform through our system integration team, focusing on Integration & End-to-End testing.
- Facilitate Quality Enhancement of the Cloud Platform by defining testing strategies, managing diverse communities, and innovating testing methods utilizing emerging technologies.
- Assist Cloud teams in maintaining Quality throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Conduct Performance & Disruption testing, including Ransomware rehearsals and Chaos testing frameworks.
We seek a talented QA Principal Engineer to elevate the Quality of Cloud Platform components.
Your Main Responsibilities
Common Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for two Cloud Platform trains.
- Participate in the platform gatekeeping process, overseeing the global sign-off for cloud platform teams.
- Own specific SAFe Epics related to Quality challenges within the program.
- Manage the NFR Quality Community, aimed at supporting the global Amadeus Engineering community.
- Provide cross-team guidance, acting as a functional and technical lead to promote best practices in QA methodology.
- Engage in technical discussions with internal development partners to comprehend their designs and intended outcomes.
- Lead the technical execution of the testing strategy, leveraging a robust understanding of IT and business.
Specific Accountabilities:
Operational Excellence
- Master QA methodologies.
- For complex solutions, analyze, document, and execute testing standards and procedures.
- Investigate root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Become proficient in QA tools, environments, and test automation solutions.
Functional Excellence
- Possess comprehensive product domain knowledge, including relevant business processes and customer needs.
- Lead customer triage and debugging sessions, assisting the team in reproducing issues.
Drive Continuous Improvement
- Engage in internal and external forums, leading discussions on QA methodology and tooling advancements.
- Aim to uphold high-quality standards for Amadeus products.
- Contribute to patents and technical events in the QA domain.
- Propose relevant KPIs and efficient measurement methods for software deliverables and compliance with Amadeus Quality Standards.
- Facilitate the adoption and enhancement of testing tools and environments.
- Participate in understanding and mitigating the environmental impact of tested applications and QA activities.
Building Relationships & Knowledge Sharing
- Coach and mentor junior QA Engineers and Software Development Engineers on quality assurance skills.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new colleagues.
- Provide consulting on test automation, testing tools, QA processes, and functional test coverage.
- Participate in QA community events.
