Lead Engineer for Underground Networks F/M

The engineering division of Technip Energies' Abu Dhabi office is renowned for its extensive experience in energy project design, comprising a diverse team of professionals across various disciplines, including decarbonized solutions, LNG, and biofuels.
The Civil Engineering department is seeking a Group Leader for Underground Networks F/M, who will oversee the design and implementation of all underground network systems within a project, whether in the pre-project or execution phase. You will lead and manage a team of 1 to 4 underground design specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive plans for underground networks (including gravity and pressurized piping, electrical cables, foundations, etc.), as well as roads, paving, and basins, along with calculation notes for measurement networks.
- Track relevant quantities and provide technical assistance to the procurement department.
- Design underground networks in alignment with constraints and input from other engineering disciplines (such as general installations, electrical systems, instrumentation, etc.).
- Produce or coordinate the creation of general network layouts, road designs, and 2D fencing plans.
- Generate or oversee the modeling of various components in 3D software (CIVIL 3D, E3D, S3D, etc.) with the correct parameters as per the available study guidelines.
- Identify interferences and collaborate with the Civil Engineering Project Manager to implement effective solutions.
- Produce or coordinate the generation of various elements to assess earth movement volumes (COVADIS, etc.).
- Review documents and 3D models prepared by design centers, suppliers, and construction firms (including area plans, isometric plans, detail plans, interface lists, etc.).
- This role may require occasional international travel.
- Higher education level Bac +2/3 (BTS or DUT).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering design office, focusing on building or civil engineering projects within the industrial and/or energy sectors.
- Proficient in 2D drafting software (such as Autocad or Microstation) and 3D modeling software (like E3S or S3D, etc.).
- Fluency in both French and English for effective written and verbal communication, including drafting plans and specifications.
