Title: Lead Business Analyst
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Lead Business Analyst at Duck Creek Technologies, you will be an integral member of the project team within the Professional Services division. Your collaboration will extend to clients, Project Leads, Engagement Leads, and fellow Business Analysts, as well as Solution Engineers, Technical and Business Architects, Product Owners, and the SaaS Engineering team. Your primary objective will be to effectively integrate our Duck Creek Reinsurance (DCR) software into clients' current systems, utilizing the standard DCR configuration to the fullest extent possible.
You will be pivotal in ensuring the successful deployment of DCR, which encompasses both new implementations and ongoing support for our existing clientele.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collecting client requirements during project phases and for modifications in existing systems.
- Collaborating with the Business Architect and other stakeholders to comprehend DCR's functionalities and client expectations.
- Contributing to the project backlog by creating, updating, and tracking tasks.
- Configuring the DCR software to align with client business needs.
- Conducting training sessions and presentations on DCR for clients.
- Providing functional support to clients utilizing DCR.
- Documenting and communicating requirements and issues to technical teams, ensuring a thorough understanding of client needs.
- Engaging in quality assurance for developments from technical teams.
- Translating requirements into test conditions and expected outcomes for product and user acceptance testing.
- Performing additional related duties as required by project demands.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a field emphasizing analytical skills.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience, ideally in a comparable role.
- Proven experience working directly with clients, including delivering presentations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong collaborative and teamwork orientation.
- Capacity to navigate complex situations with resilience.
- Experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis, software implementation, and test planning and execution.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge or experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance sectors (e.g., accounting or actuarial background).
