Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Shift Leader to join our team at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort. As a key member of our Housekeeping Management team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of housekeepers to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and service are maintained in our guest rooms and public areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily briefings with housekeeping staff to review tasks and objectives
- Manage and supervise all tasks of the housekeeping team, including room cleaning, linen management, and equipment maintenance
- Conduct regular room checks to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
- Attend to reports of damage or malfunction in hotel rooms and take corrective action as necessary
- Record room status and report any issues to the Executive Housekeeper
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in assessing team members' attendance and performance
- Support the housekeeping team during peak periods to ensure efficient room cleaning and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping within a hotel environment, preferably in a four or five-star hotel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide leadership and guidance to housekeeping staff
- Superior customer service skills, with ability to provide a positive and welcoming experience for guests
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, predominantly with afternoon shifts
