Job Title: Process Safety Specialist

Join Infineum as a Process Safety Specialist and contribute to ensuring the highest level of safety and compliance in our Additives Operations.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Specialist to support the Additives Operations manager in maintaining the HSE integrity of our Berre Additives units. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing HSE risks associated with changes in the plant, from small modifications to major projects. They will work closely with the Operations manager to find cost-effective solutions that meet HSE standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess HSE risks and develop mitigation strategies for changes in the Berre Additives plant
  • Support the Operations manager in process safety issues and present high-risk areas to management for action planning
  • Act as the focal point for the Environmental French Agency (DREAL) to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain a good relationship
  • Organize DREAL visits and follow up on associated action plans
  • Update safety studies for the Additives units in line with French regulations
  • Lead HSE risk assessments as needed
  • Promote process safety on site by coaching contact engineers and developing their expertise
  • Participate in corporate or external audits related to HSE
  • Develop a deep expertise in process safety, including risk assessments, HSE design standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in chemical engineering
  • Good listener and ability to interact with others in local and international environments
  • Ability to understand, gather, and synthesize information
